AcuGraph acupuncture technology

Integrating ageless wisdom with modern technology

AcuGraph gives you a real-time look at what’s going on in your energy pathways.

The AcuGraph digital meridian imaging system is a computerised tool we use to measure electrical skin resistance at acupuncture source (yuan) points. Your registered acupuncturist will use the system in a short examination by touching a probe to acupuncture points on your hands and feet. Then they’ll be able to analyse and document the energetic status of your acupuncture meridians.

    What are acupuncture meridians?

Acupuncture meridians are the energy pathways in your body that have been used therapeutically for over 5,000 years. These meridians conduct life-force energy, or qi (pronounced “chee”) in and around all the parts of your body. Blockage or interference in these meridian pathways can result in energetic imbalances that may contribute to negative health conditions.

    How can AcuGraph help me?

Your AcuGraph test is an objective measurement and gives you a visual display of your meridian data, showing how your “energetic body” actually works. The system gives your registered acupuncturist a real-time look at what’s going on in your acupuncture channels. This lets them measure, analyse and track the energy balance of each acupuncture meridian. Over time, the AcuGraph system can show historical trends to monitor your progress from your acupuncture treatments.

With this information, your practitioner can make better-informed decisions about your condition, and provide the best treatment possible. It can also give your registered acupuncturist treatment point recommendations.

What does my PIE score mean?

Your PIE (personal integrated energetic) score is a statistical summary of your overall energetic balance. Your score includes a complete analysis of all your meridian pathways and reflects the overall health of your meridian energy system. It represents a synthesis of all the information gathered in the AcuGraph exam, expressed in a single number for easy comparison. A perfect score of 100 reflects complete balance and unimpeded flow of your qi energy. A lower score means there are imbalances that you and your practitioner should address together.

Within the PIE chart, each wedge of the circle represents one meridian pathway. Those shown in darker green are balanced and functioning properly. Other colours represent your meridian energy imbalances.
