Registered Massage Therapist, BFA
RMT Lauren is a passionate and talented Registered Massage Therapist. She believes in healing patients by finding the root cause of the issue, and then using specific massage techniques to target that issue. Lauren believes that by treating the root cause, you not only treat the symptoms, but you help improve the overall function of the body in order to truly heal the injury and provide long-term relief.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in Contemporary Dance from Concordia University, Lauren decided to take her fascination with the human body and optimizing movement and pursue these passions from a health care perspective. Lauren studied Massage Therapy at Algonquin College in Ottawa and is a Registered Massage Therapist in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
She enjoys working to find the source of any problem in the body and applying a variety of techniques and modalities to heal it from its root cause to provide her clients with thorough treatment. She takes genuine pride in her clients’ success, whether that is:
- Reduced pain
- Improved range of motion
- Decreased frequency of headaches
- Improved quality of sleep
- Or anything that has her clients feeling like an improved version of themselves
Trained in Swedish techniques, Lauren is able to perform treatments to decrease pain and tension, optimize movement, restore joint health, prevent and treat injuries, and improve mental well-being. She has received further training in myofascial release and Indie Head Massage.
